I have a set on my Hoyt G3 limbs mated to a 15" Morrison Dark Diamondwood/Phenolic riser.. Very nice looking bow... they will be staying on those limbs for some time.

i had copperhead limbstations on a bow last year but i wanted to comment on the onestringer limbstations. the color was  very true.  i had many people think it was real skins and had to touch it to believe it.  they held thier color throughout the year and proved to be very durable.  i would guaruntee you would be very staisfied with them.

I've been wanting to try these too.  I have a 71 Bear Grizzly that I can't really figure out what ones would look beat on it.

One other thing that I have a question about is where to cut them.  My bow doesn't have a piece on the back of the riser like the bow on the left in the picture above.  Mine is sorta like the one on the right, but I don't think I want the skins to cover the grip as well.  I just don't know where to end them and make them look good and not like a hack job.  I do use a rubber innertube as a grip on it though.

Any ideas or better yet, anyone have pics of skins on a bear recurve like mine?

Thanks for the pics.

:saywhat:

Cool stuff guys!!!  Looks like I will be very, very, very happy with my choice.   ;)

Nala, I would run them along the whole bow!! Installing the rubber grip after you put the skins on would top it off nicely.

Interesting option, IMHO one I'd consider for an old shooter with missing emblems and stress lines used for hunting.

Anyone ever take them off? Difficult to restore appearance of the limbs? Unsure what they are made of, so Ill have to go look.

thank you

i just rounded the ends off just short od the handle area on mine...and ive taken some off of another bow before and put them on another one.  they do strectch a little when you peel them off, so i just let them hang for a day and they shrank back up and put on another bow.  theyre pretty cool..  TIP:  WHEN TRIMMING , SLIDE YOUR BLADE AWAY FROM HANDLE TOWARDS THE LIMB TIPS TO KEEP FROM CUTTING INTO THE GLASS...

Go to page 146/147 of the "HH Bug got me" thread.  My bow (a 7-Lades blank project) is posted with the Eastern Diamond Back limb wraps.

Not at all.
Make sure you have a brand new razor to trim the edges with and take your time to trim them to fit overlays, etc.
Very happy with this product!!! Thank you Onestringer!!  :clapper:

Did they have a shine to them like some of the camo tapes that are out there? I used a camo tape last year, and didn't like the glare potential in the sun. I planned on going back to the cloth camo tape, but would consider these if they have a "flat" finish.
