Here's a couple:

The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.

All of us could take a lesson from the weather.  It pays no attention to criticism.
"I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. To front only the essential facts of life and see if I could not learn what it had to teach and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived"- Thoreau

I have had two, I am me and I know who I am.  Every oops is a new design opportunity.  And a few that while on some hats I will refrain from sharing but I do use wood.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run to outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
