Tried out the new bows today. w./ pics

Well as you know it has been raining and I have not been able to shoot theese bows since my wife brought them the other day. It cleared off and stopped raining last night. I had to try them out in the fog this morning. Pics not that great, but man do I like.
I have always prefered longbows over curves, but after shooting this blacktail, this just might be my new go to bow. I shot the Crow Creek once and it performed as I knew it would, but then I picked up the Blacktail and could not put it down. absolutely the finest shooting bow I have ever shot. It fits my hand perfectly and is so light. It is a true pleasure to shoot.

Nice shootin' Don! I'm partial to my Widow, but Norm makes a GREAT bow from what I see and hear. I do believe you got a "prize" when you grabbed that one off the internet.

You know Don, I think you hurt the Crow's feeling's with all the gushing over the Blacktail. Better send her to me until you clear the air and all.

ROTFLMAO David, Yeah the Crow acted like her feelings were hurt so took her back out a shot a few more.
Frank, the woods are myrtle and wenge and they go perfect together.
Shakes, my wife could not bring my big bag target, so I went to Wally World and looked bor a block target, but they do not have them until August. So I saw the seat and it worked out perfect. A bag of sand for a back stop and only one pass through when I hit the edge.

Even in a pea-soup fog, that Blacktail looks good.

Dang, Bubba, that is some thick fog. Wonder ya could see the target,LOL. Yep, like I told ya, those Blacktails are "All That". There was one just like yours except a 60" and 58#@28" on another site, I emailed the guy twice but got no answer. Guess he decided to keep it or already sold it. Drat the luck.

Don, I shoot mainly longbows (selfbows and HH style) but recently picked up a Big East Fedora Jr. from an illustrious (or at least well known) member of this site. I'm beginning to think that a recurve stage is coming on. I love the bow. I've also shot Blacktails and find them to be very strong and smooth shooters. You have a beauty there. If the right Blacktail came along, I would be very tempted...

Norm definitely is one of the finest artist/craftsmen around today. I start shooting mine and if I didn't get a little tired and start shaking I think I would be out there all night shooting! But then you get to take it inside and just look at it as a piece of art.
