Bareshafting Easton FMJ

I recently picked up a dozen full length FMJs.  They came with the nocks already installed and they use the HIT inserts on the other end.
So if a need to cut the arrows back as I bareshaft them, how do I do it with the HIT inserts installed?

Cut from the nock end.

Yeah, I was hoping to avoid ruining the nocks that came already glued in.  Tried pulling them with a pliers and they wouldn't come out.

They shouldn't be glued!

You can use low temp hot-melt glue on the one you are bare shaft tuning with. Just heat your field tip carefully when you need to pull the insert.

The X nocks that come with the FMJ's are should not be glued in. You can use pliers to remove them.

The nocks should not be glued in, they are pressed in and take some effort to remove.

I love the FMJ's and always cut them from the nock end.  If you accidentally overheat them you can ruin the carbon.

That seems odd that they are glued in.

Well let me work the nocks some more.  They are in there pretty tight, but maybe I just didn't try hard enough,  was trying not to break or deform the nock in the process.

I use the FMJ's quite a bit and the nocks are a tight fit. They will come out. Cut from the rear.
