the 7 point is up on the wall
« on: April 10, 2011, 10:02:00 AM »
I moved and finally have a little space to hang my bows up.  My dad (Rick Butler) was a huge help, not only for letting me use his tools and garage, but also showing me how to drill out the antlers and helping me select everything to make this bow rack turn out so well.
Pic's resized, sorry about that.  I thought the preview photo bucket showed, was the actual size not 60%

I like it!  Opened this post expecting to see a buck with a nice rack.  Instead its a bow rack.  Pretty cool.

I forgot to mention that these sheds are from Ray Hammond, he sent them back with my dad in march.

That's one of the best ideas I've seen lately.
Good job. Now I might have to do a copy.

I like that. Is your ceiling high  and board thick enough you could drill holes in the top of it to stick arrows in?

Great looking bow rack!  It not only shows off your bows well, but becomes a conversation piece as well.

Nice! That's a different twist to an old idea.

I can just see a smaller version of that for coats and hats at the entrance to a new home we hope to be working on next year.
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

Ha thanks Robin!  Actually last year at hog heaven Ray gave me a couple boar tusks and i still need a coat rack!

Jamesh76, That is an awesome idea!

Thank you everyone, hope you enjoyed.

The total cost of the board was about $20.00.  I used a 48" red oak board and just put some stain on it.

It took about 3 hours from start to finish but I imagine if we made another one we could have at least 45 minutes off our time.
