From the text I received a little earlier, the "MEETING" is going very, very good.  They haven't adjourned for the evening yet!  Can't wait to read "all" the minutes that will come out of the "MEETING"!

They both made it home OK....No cell service cept for Rob's flip phone standing IN the HWY, and Doug and I had to stand on one leg and whistle dixie just to make a text...IF we were standing in just the right spot.

Here's a few quoted from the hunt....

"I could see his eye sparkle in the ditch"

"He was FOUR feet away"

"THEY were FOUR feet away"

"He was on a merry-go-round"

"No he didn't squeal, ....he SCREAMED!!!"

"I was surrounded more than once"

"I really don't know what happened"

"Which way did he go?"..."Heck if I know, not sure which way I went !!!"

"They didn't leave till they smelled our shoe laces" !!!

"I'm telling you, it got louder and louder,....so loud I thought a Rhinoceros was about to stampede me"

"I was stalking them, and 5 more came up behind me and just walked right passed me"

"You shot one?"....."Yep"..."How long ago?"..."35 seconds ago"

"I was at half draw when you text me and they left"...."OH, I am SO Sorry"...."It didn't matter, really,...there were 7 more just up ahead"

"What the heck is a muscadine?

"How did you eat all that????"

this is the third time i have been privileged to hunt this land, and in many ways it's been the best of all three.  sharing this experience with terry and doug made it all the more outstanding.  most everything seemed to just fall in place and cooperate.  the cool evening and warmed up day air temps were just perfect, and a far cry from last year's daily 100F+ steaming heat baths.  not many bugs to contend with, save for part of the last day.  and the hogs!  man alive, they sure were there!
