Skookum single arrow quiver?
« on: April 12, 2011, 03:57:00 PM »
I thought they made one for single arrows in two and three blades.  I think I had one on my 3 Rivers wish list last year.  Now I don't see these anymore.  Anyone know why they stopped making them?  Anyone use one?  Are there problems with them?  I thought they would be ideal for a back up arrow on my LB to go with my Arrow Master quiver.

I don't know if they make them or not anymore.  I couldn't find them on 3Rivers web site either.  Alaska Bowhunting supply has a two arrow model on their site, but not the single arrow.

I use one and like it.  I don't like a bow quiver on a longbow because of the added weight, but you don't notice the single arrow quiver at all.  One downside is that it can work loose and start sliding on the limbs if you're shooting alot.  But you're typically not shooting a lot when hunting.  It's definitely worth the purchase if you can find one.

The skookum can be found at Alaska bowhunting supply.  I use the 2 arrow model.  I've never used the single, but I have nothing but good to say about the skookum.  Stays on my hunting bow year round.  I use another quiver (catquiver mini) attached to my pack for additional arrows.

I got one last November, but I think they stopped making it and only make the two arrow one now.  It's ashame, as I love the "solo stalker" as they called it.  If I knew they were going to discontinue it, I would have bought a few.

I love my Skookum solo stalker.

If I were to buy another, it would be a double arrow and not because its the only one they appear to sell now   :readit:

Todd, just like Art said there real easy to make with either rubber straps or Velcro and a little leather.I've made them with the Piggey Backers from 3Rivers,it makes a great little 2 arrow holder.

Todd,
If you're talking about the ones you zip tie to the bow, I have 4 of them for 2 blades. Swing by the house and take what you want.

Bob I am going to be in your area tomorrow.  I may try to stop in to say high after i stop at sand lake to see whats new there on my way home from a meeting up your way.

I may have to order one from lost nations.  Sounds like most people like them.

As ArkyBob said you hardly notice it's there. The double can hold one arrow, too, with the option of holding two. The single can only hold one. No option for two.

Check 3 Rivers again. Look under Quivers and then Specialty Items. The two and three blade are there.

The two arrow is probably the way to go. Using the first on the bow and you still have the same one arrow when shooting for a back up.  However, i also like thee blade heads so was thinking of getting that quiver.

Alakka bow hunting supply no longer has the single arrow as confirmed by e-mail.

3 Rivers must have changed because they had them under bow quivers.  Thanks for the tip on that.  I have an order ready to go and wanted to add the quiver.

Bob got me fixed up with a single two blade so i will try that out this week.  Thanks Bob!

That is not the right quiver.  It is a tie one and now what I want.  It is also the same one I found on the Lost nations site.  :(

Does anyone make one that will hold a 2 blade with the bleeders? Like a Muzzy Phantom?

If you would rather a three-edge hood I'll swap a lightly used one I have for your two-edge.  I would much prefer the two-edge for my Stos.
