first traditional turkey
« on: April 12, 2011, 10:37:00 PM »
A bit of luck went my way today.  I killed my first turkey with my black widow recurve.  I wont get the pictures back for a few days.  He was a little over 20 pounds, 1" speers, and had a 10" beard.  Which is just a hair shorter than my wifes beard.(dont tell her I measured it)Thanks for all of your help, I learned a lot on this site from reading the posts on turkey hunting.

Congratulations on the turkey! That's quite an accomplishment.
Looking forward to seeing the pics.  Maybe they will help me get rid of the image I have in my mind of your wife's beard.
