yooper quiver
« on: April 16, 2011, 06:41:00 PM »

I've been wanting to try and make my own quiver for a while but I do not know how to sew, so I found some very thrifty fabric to practice on.

Total cost of the quiver was about $5.00

Hope this gives you guys a laugh!

I'm not laughing!  I am jealous, that is a cool looking quiver, nice work.  I have a little bit of wool and I might have to try and copy your idea.

That is too nice to be called a yooper quiver!    I expected maybe a road kill skin wrapped around a traffic cone, or the sleeve of a shirt tied at one end and a dragging rope used for a back sling.

Ya got enough left you could maybe make a matching kilt.  That turned out nice Sean!  Good job.

Nothing wrong with that!  For very little money you now have a very useable quiver.

I kinda like it !

is it warm up there yet ?

I want to come up and spend a weekend at my place up there but the last visit required three hours of plowing to get my boat out of the shed.

Very nice! And gives me a great idea.  I've got a Christian Dior wool overcoat that hasn't been worn in over 15 yrs.  I think with some simple mods it would make a great, quiet quiver.  Seems like it would work to turn a sleeve into the main quiver body.

Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Nice!
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.
