RONAL OLLIS SCAM?
« on: April 17, 2011, 10:14:00 AM »
Several members have been attempting to contact Ronal (Ron, Ronald) Ollis about items he posted for sale in the classifieds. He has failed to return pm's and e-mails. He has said items were shipped but they never show up. He has shipped at least one item that was not as advertised, and would not accept a return. . He hasn't had trouble cashing checks and money orders! Be wary if you do any dealings with RONAL OLLIS!

Have you contacted Terry Green about this? If not, you should let him know.

Any other info about this potential little scumbag?  Whereabouts?
Too bad, (if true) he's too weak and puny to get by without cheating others. If it werent for civilized culture, Mother Nature would have weeded him and others like him out of existence long ago.

Owlbait, ...Mike, I know the feeling. I was SCAMMED by a "one way trade". It wasn't an expensive item, just a side quiver. It took place here about a year or so ago and sad to say but it really makes you think and investagate the people you deal with now. The old saying..."It only takes a few ROTTON APPLES". I guess all you can do is report it to the MODS and put it behind you eh!! This kind of thing makes it hard for the honest "new members" starting on here. Best of luck,....Lloyd

I PM'd Rob DiStefano. It isn't Rob or Terry's issue other than to let them know. I know at least 4 people that Ron failed to make a good deal with so far. Thought it was time for a heads up.

Thats right LLoyd. This is a great site and we welcome the new members with the idea that they are going to uphold the high standards set here. I even attempted to "counsel" Ron on proper Tradgang ettiqutte, but it fell on deaf ears. I've donated and given away items worth much more than it looks like RONAL OLLIS is scamming me out of, but it is just the principle, and the fact that others are getting $crewed over too.

You're right, owlbait, it isn't Rob's or Terry's issue.
But, they can certainly do something about it. Like, put the guilty party's name in the "Hall of Shame" for everyone to see who they are before they make a deal with them.   ;)

He got me for $195.00. I paid him for a Double Bull Blind. He received my postal money order on 4-6-11 and I asked on the thread when he was going to ship the blind. He replied by e-mail that it was going out via priority mail Saturday morning, 04-09-11. That is the last I heard from Mr. Ollis. He will not reply to e-mails, PMs or posts.

I have just e-mailed a MAIL FRAUD COMPLAINT FORM to the US Postal Inspection Service. I sincerely hope that all others who were scammed will do the same. Maybe if enough of us send the form they will make an effort to catch this guy. It only takes a few minutes to fill out the form. Here is the link to the mail fraud form:
     https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/mailfraudcomplaint.aspx

As much as I hate to admit it, I chose to ignore a lot of signs that told me not to deal with him; no phone, not able to send pictures, very poor communications, relatively new member with very few posts until he blitzed the classifieds with items for sale, etc. Yep, I knew better, but I've never had a bad experience on TradGang and I thought no, it won't happen to me. Lesson learned the hard way. Don't get me wrong though; I still hope we can get this guy caught. All you other victims please fill out and e-mail the fraud forms.

Thanks,

Chuck

He burned me for $150 on a deal for a pair of ASAT wool bibs. I'm glad it wasn't $800-$900 for a bow. I have delt on this site for MANY years and this is the first time that I have been burned. I have tried to send PMs and e-mails to no avail. I will be extremely cautious with whom I deal with on the site from now on. If I don't recognize you as a "longtimer", no deal!

There is bound to be a member near this guy. His profile says Indiana.

What address did the money go to ?

Damn it, I did not write his address down as I usually do. I simply wrote it on his envelope and mailed it. I have gone through all of his previous posts at his profile site and every thing is marked sold. He has been extremely careful in not posting his address or phone number.
