Stringers?????????

What is a good stringer to fit long bows? It seems they are all to deep in the pockets.

I use the limbsaver longbow stringer by selway. It has the pocket on one end and the rubber limb block on the other.

You can put stitches into any leather or web pocket to make it shallower..........I dont like the block type myself and now make my own double pocket ones with webbing.

When you get over 65# and bows longer than 68, push/pull becomes a whole different animal.......

Push-pull for longbow here (but never a recurve).

I have been useing the one from Black Widow, but I just got a Webster (I think that's the name). It is for a recurve or long bow.

It is a very will made stringer, and it is made of nylon strap. Just below the top pocket there is another pocket for a short bow. It is realy neat, give it a try, I think you will like it.

Hey 44mag I would like to see you try that.It would be best if someone showed you how.You can string a longbow in about 3 sec.If they are 68" or longer with 65# or so you may get embarrassed by the fact your not as strong as you thought.

Push/Pull.....for RH shooters

Grab bow backward at grip with right hand (string side away from you)

Place bottom limb tip against instep of right foot.(foot turned out sideways)

Place left palm against top limb just under string loop, grab loop with thumb and index finger.

PUSH top limb away while PULLING in on grip and slide palm up till string loop is in the nock.

On bows 68" and longer you usually just run out of arm...........anything over 65# and I dont get enough leverage and my hand doesnt want to slide up..........YMMV
