I haven't found any in Maryland yet, the evenings have been a little on the cool side, we have had enough moisture but I think the cool evenings has slowed them down a little.

Went to a shoot on Saturday in Toledo Ohio.  There was a fella there that came from a town 45 minutes east of there, he had a sack of "Blacks".....so they're starting to pop.

I have found 16 white morels in my back yard (mowed area) in the last 4 days. None were very big but that didn't affect there taste.

Lilacs haven't lied to me in years.. They start to open the morels start too.. They finish blooming Morels are hard to find, and if you do they will be large and old..
I haven't noticed the lilacs here yet but probably should go take a close look.
