All Classified Adds and the Administrators New Rule

I must vote against Terry Greens last post on Ron Ollis. We as a club,group or what ever we are need the rules and regulations that have been used for all this time to be held firm to keep us clean and free of the SCUM that is trying to take us into the unreliable area that we would end up in. If it is needed I am sure there is a tusted member out there that would most likely take care of that position. Please help by posting your opinions in a better way then I know how to!!    

P.S This all started on the "Ron Ollis scam update" thread with Terry's last post.

I hope Terry reconsiders. It's nice to be able to trade and buy without worrying who is going to rip you off and cheat you. I don't buy a lot maybe a couple of times since I have been on here. But it's nice to know you have my back.

The rules you have are working very well. This is your site so set the rules, if people don't like it they know where the door is. I appreciate the work you and the mods are doing. The thing I like about this site is, it's for the whole family.

 I would not worry about my wife or grand kids getting on here and reading or talking with anyone because of how it's monitored.

I guess what I am trying to say is don't let a couple people get to you, 99% of the members appreciate this site as it is. Sorry for being so long winded.

I joined this group because yes it has knowledge but more important it has integrity. I know you must be frustrated but please don’t let stop you in your quest to keep this site as one of the best.

I am in 100% agreement with how Tradgang has been run in the past.  My hats off to Terry and the Mods for their efforts.  This is a private forum, and as such they can run it the way they want.  I will continue to support them.

You know I love this place and am all about keeping it a family safe place.

we (The Tradgang family) have to get out of the (this is all about me mode of thinking) and start putting our family good ahead of ourselves.

The rules are for the good of the whole.

So what if one or more rules creates a momentary problem for a couple people. (me included)

We can and will get over it if it means tradgang is the better for all of us.

If someone was in my back yard and started poking me about my rules.  I would not only let him know he needed to shut it.  I would throw him off the property.  This is Terry and the Mods back yard.  Poke a man to often when he is performing an unnecessary and thankless task and he will quit doing it.  Sounds like we all need to take a long deep breath and remember that.

As for Ron Ollis.  Thieves are easy to handle.  Old west style, get a rope!

I think the silent majority would rather have the rules.  It is what keeps this site going forward in a positive manner.  Allowing the classifieds to "Run amuck" would be a dishonor to the site in which you, and every one of it's members, have created...A great place to come to getaway from everything in daily life and be with a bunch of like minded folks.

TG did not come this far by accident...and will survive... and grow because of careful and thoughtful oversight.   Period.    

I will ALWAYS be supportive regardless of how I may feel about any issue at any time.

How can it be any other way?

This is by far, the BEST traditional archery site on the internet. In todays day and age, it is necessary for Terry, Rob and the countless others that help patrol this site to post rules. All that they ask of us is to have "respect" for each other and follow a few easy to understand rules. That isn't much to ask for the "thank-less" and stressful job that each and every one of them do on a daily basis.

PLEASE........lets keep the rules as they are and if someone doesn't agree with them......they don't have to come here. I have met and traded, sold and bought from numerous people on here and haven't had any problems what-so-ever. The people that I have dealt with on here have been nothing short of fantastic to deal with. Let's not let this episode with Ronald Ollis ruin everything that the owner and administrator have worked so hard to achieve. If the rules go away, then people like this will have WON. This is my second home too.......and I want the same sense of "security" to remain everytime that I walk through the door. If you don't feel likewise, then pass on by the door that brings you here and find another place to spend your time.

I too like the classifieds the way they are, and would be in favor of the "100 post min." for all of the classifieds. I would even be in favor of a "more in depth" registration to participate in the classifieds

It does bother me that the classified are the only place you see some people post, is that the only reason they're here?

Terry, Rob and crew have  done an outstanding job prividing us with great place to hang out.

In all truely free and honest systems there will always be rules and regulations to follow and someone to uphold these laws. We need these people to run the system and the members rely on the officials to take care of the majority of us that do not have the brains to keep our backs to the wall in saftey. There are two of these threads in progress jump in and HELP OUR GANG OUT!!!

Folks that follow rules will have no problem following these post & other rules for our safety & enjoyment. These rules create a safer & more civil environment for us all. How often have you read mixed opinions that rarely if ever boil over to ridiculous? Not here. I've quit other sites for this very egocentricity. This is a hunting site for hunters to learn & share. I like the safety rules & sheperding mods! Great job. Plenty of other sites avaiable if you do not.

I'm serving in a forign country with no bow and no hunting till I get back. This is a piece of home for me here. I ordered a bow that arrived back home today which I won't see till June but had no doubts about the deal because of the rules and Integrity of this site. It is much appreciated

I also hope Terry will reconsider the suspension of the rules regulating the classified on this site and expand the rule to all classifieds on this site. All trade throughout the world requires regulations for transactions to occur smoothly and with integrity.  To suspend the rules regulating the classified on this site opens the door to more people like Ollis to come here and deceive people, plus I don't think this site would last very long without the rules to guide the membership and that would be a great loss to the traditional archery world and this community.
