First Time To Shoot a SuperShrew
« on: April 23, 2011, 09:04:00 PM »
One of the guys came over Tuesday night with a SuperShrew that he'd gotten on Tradgang. I had not shot a Shrew in quite a while so I was anxious to give it a try. The first shot hit inside a 1" bullseye at 12-14 yards and the next 3 shots were close by. I was impressed with the speed, accuracy, and smoothness of it. He wouldn't sell the bow, so I have to wonder if Randy's really my friend. Lol.

Now I'm probably going to have to have one. If anyone has one to sell or trade at 45-50#, let me know. Also, do all of the Shrews shoot like that or is it just the SuperShrew? I would love to hear your comments.

I've never shot one, but I've heard they all shoot that good. NEVER hear anything but raves about them.

I'd love to experience one but I live a long way from Michigan.

I shoot the super shrew better than the classic hunter but others like the classic hunter the best . I think you would be happy with either

They're all good shooters, as with all things folks favor one over the other for their own reasons. I favor my 60" Super Shrew ever so slightly over my 56" CH. Both draw to 30" smooth as butter.

I love both of mine. I prefer the 56" one but like the poundage of the 58" one.

Warden609, That's a lot of treasure to have in one spot. You should spread the wealth. Haven't you heard? If you'd like for me to keep one of them for safe keeping, I'd promise to take good care of it. Lol.    :deadhorse:

2fletch, thanks for the offer. Got a feeling the bow would get home sick if it spent to much time away  ;) .

I just traded a Super Shrew about a week ago.  It was 53# @ 26".  The guy got it, and said it was too heavy and sent it back  :bigsmyl:  Amen.
That was one of the longest weeks of my life.  Didn't really want to get rid of it, but needin' money pretty bad. Damn lawyers.  :deadhorse:

What I like in the Shrew/Griffin bows other than the fact that they are great shooters is that they are not big bulbous hunks of furniture to hual around.  I look at some bows and they are huge.  Might shoot fine, but why carry all that wood around.

My only hunting bow is a Super Shrew Deluxe, 60" and 50@29.  Very light and efficient.  Wonderful bow.

I'm gonna have to try one of these, too many good reviews.

I watched that first group of arrows he shot and knew I should have never taken the Shrew to EFA. Now I'm going to have to listen to some "lip" every time I'm There  :help:  They are really sweet shooters. It cost me a good bow in trade but it was a good trade.......Randy
