Maddog recurve
« on: April 24, 2011, 03:51:00 PM »
I had Mike make me a light weight recurve for 3-D shoots. This is what we came up with. Bow is 51". 38# @ 26". Riser is Bacote and Cocobola.High wrist.I skinned the bow with cottonmouth skins. Pretty good match to the bacote, I think. Also has sheep horn overlay on riser and horn tips.

That should turn a few heads at the 3D shoots.  Nice bow.

I had Mike make the bow w/ white glass on the back of the bow so I had a light background for the skins. It made the skins "pop" in color. They came out lighter than I thought they would, but I am pleasantly surprised by how well they compliment the bacote.

A beauty.  Enjoy it.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
