Very nice. Congratulations!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Awesome job. Don't worry about how long it took, turkeys elude me as well. Lol  :)

Way to go Russ!  I'm a former Nora Springs guy also (Bernie's son).  I'll be out this weekend here in Wisconsin, your story is great motivation.

Congrats!!  Might have to try the Zwickey Delta myself.
We are all put to the test but it never comes in the form or time we prefer. Unknown

Josh, I was using my Orion with the recurve limbs. It's a pretty slick little bow in a pop-up blind.

Ben A, the Deltas are great heads, easy to sharpen, hold a great edge, penetrate incredibly well, and do devastating damage. They also fly like field points, which is amazing considering their size. They are also affordable.

I've tried Woodsman, Snuffers, Grizzlies, etc. They are all good, but I keep coming back to Deltas. I don't see any need to change again. I may use the others for rabbits and squirrels, but for big game, it will be big old Deltas for me.

For those of you still looking for the first turkey, hang in there. It IS worth the wait. I have to say, even though turkeys are frustrating and I made my share of mistakes, I really enjoyed the experience. I've learned TONS. Turkeys still do what you least expect, but with experience you learn what doesn't work.

Good luck!
