Band of Brothers....
« on: April 25, 2011, 01:41:00 PM »
Scouting this morning...click the link...

Not a longbeard among them!   Even though I didn't get a look at the big gobblers, they weren't far away. They were with some lady friends.

These jakes had some hens in a tree that I bumped sneaking in....they flew off and left these guys out of luck!!

Another good video Curt, I've played golf twice in the last week, both times birds were gobbling in the woods off the thirteenth hole, I'll be around there next week with a bow in my hand instead of a wedge!

Looks like I am skunked for this year. Turkey season ends next Sat for me and I can't get to the lease between now and then. Oh well, their beards will all be 2"longer next season.

Cool video, Curt. Good luck on bagging one of the longbeards.

Nice.  The excitement is building, in the birds and in me.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Man those jakes were fired up. Gets the blood pumping knowing next year they'll be gobblers. I've been seeing more jakes this year than the last 3 combined in my area. Looking good for the future.

Cool video!  Love it when they're fired up and gobblin' like that.  20 yards?  I would have been flingin' arrows.  But then I've only killed one turkey with bow and not accomplished enough to pass up jakes.  Good luck killin' one of the big boys!
