traveling newbie

I have a one piece recurve now. and thinking about a 3 piece. how do you keep you string twisted on a 3 piece traveling? or do you tune your bow back up when you get to the hunt? is a measurment of brace good enough to fallow?

I could be wrong but I  think using a string keeper would eliminate the need to retune

Not sure about for a three piece, but maybe some kind of short dowel with both ends of the string slipped onto it and taped?

Once my brace height is set and the string is shot in, I don't have much of a problem with it untwisting when my bow is taken down for travel.  

Just to be sure, when you get the correct height mark one of your shafts with a marker where the arrow meets the riser, then you can always do a quick check to see if you are still on the gnat, I mean, the money.

I leave the string on both limbs and mark my shafts as GrayRhino said.

thanks brothers. im still not sure if i wana do a take down yet. im very confy with my grizzly. iv got 600.00 to spend on a new one and not sure what would be best for all around. single or take down. i want a sweet shooter. im leaning toward the new grizzly. any thoughts on a take down?  oh what to do?
