Snow again
« on: April 28, 2011, 10:52:00 PM »
I gave up & it's snowing again. Just had to shoot a few shots. Went into the back yard & shot a few shots into a target I'd made by stuffing a kitty litter bag full of shrink wrap plastic a feed store here gave me.
I guess I stuffed it too tightly, because the first arrow I shot at it bounced off from 12 yards. This is from a 60lb Howard Hill long bow. Still fun.   :archer2:

Yup, here also. We get snow through May, just got to tough it out. It's well worth it for all the great hunting we have come fall.

My buddy set his bear bait out on April 9th on top of 4' of snow, on the face of the mountain. Now, the barrel is buried in  5' of new snow since. Bear season will be over before the bears even come out, let alone find his bait. Nasty, long winter here.

I do not think it is ever going to stop snowing here in Utah. We have another storm coming in tonight. May get some scouting in before deer season, I hope.

I've also had my fill of the white stuff, out here on the plains with nothing to stop it, it ends up in all of the farm yards, the past few years we have had buildings completly buried at our place, I thought a year ago was bad, we had around 79" but this winter so far we have had around 115", with a foot just a week ago, more then anyone around here can remember, setting alot of records. We can only hope for more normal snow fall next year!

Frank, my friend's wife in Roy is threatening to come here to Alaska to get some decent weather.  They have been in either heavy mud or deep snow since March.

Forecast is for a cold wet spring.

Talk to Al Gore.  He say's it's global warming or something like that.

Seriously though, sorry that you have so much of the white stuff.  That's why I love the South.

God bless.

Central Ny area we had close to 200" this year and in April over 8" of rain.  I would say we are in a pattern that I hope changes soon.

The other day on the weather report they said we had 690" at one of the ski resorts. The last few days we have had other 4-5 feet on top of that.

Some guy on t.v. said it was cold because of global warming.

I see... so that's how it works...
