I haven't tried the longbow on the riser, yet. The riser that came with the bow is the 18" recurve riser that Mr. Stewart built. Below is a pic that shows the 14" and 18" recurve riser as well as the longer, maybe 24", longbow riser. The limb angles for the 18" recurve and the 24" longbow riser appear to be the same or at least very nearly the same.

http://www.w4wc.org/bill_stewart/home.htm After receiving the bow and reading the literature that accompanied it, I've concluded that the longer riser was Mr. Stewart's Target bow riser. The recurve and longbow hunter MCTD bows were both based on the 14" and 18" risers in the pic above. Actually, the 18" riser measures 19-1/8" if it's measured from tip to tip. However, if I measure from one half moon to the other on each of the plastic pieces on either end, it measures 18"!
