Mike's Archery Leather, anyone? PICS ADDED PAGE 2
« on: May 02, 2011, 10:46:00 PM »
Ordered my first back quiver (and matching armguard) from Mike last week.  4" back quiver and hunter armguard.

I'm really excited...#10 on his build list.  This is my first back quiver, period, not just from MAL.

Anyone have any of Mike's leather?  Stories and pics to hold me over?

Thanks guys and gals

I don't often use an arm guard, but when I wear one it is one of Mike's. The quality is tops.

Here is my arm guard and pocket quiver.  Love them.  He added the beavertail accent I sent him.

I used my MAL Latigo Hunter arm guard tonight after work, like most days when I shoot during cooler or cold weather. Mine looks just like the one pictured on his web site with the addition of some wrinkles and scratches.  I was wearing a long sleeve shirt and like how the longer guard keeps the sleeve out of the way.

Although not a close up, I am wearing it in my avatar photo.

Mike donated these for a St. Jude raffle at the Joan Leonard Memorial Bunny Hunt one year.

This is my quiver.

Mike's armguards have always been sported on my arm ever since I started using one. I have about 6 or 8 at the last count, as I never miss a chance to go for one. Most of them are still like new while I use the other two or so - LOL. I also have 2 models (original and updated version) of his 3D belt quivers, Plus he put a new strap on my Barb back quiver, for me, that is the main one I wear to 3D shoots. A friend, great leathersmith, and great person to deal with. I even used to be one of his "models" on his web site (haven't checked to see if I'm still hanging in there I ought to, as it might make me look younger - LOL)

Mike does great leather work.

I really like his arm guards better than any I've tried.
