Used one last year.  I had set up on a Gobbler in early light and he shut up about mid morning. Decided to pull the squeeling hen call out and give it a try. Unknown to me I was surrounded by a group of hens. Thhey got very excited when I called and made more noise than I have ever heard from a hen before in my life. It kept thier interest for nearly an hour. They would come close and then back off again. I think in the right situation it would work, but I have only used it once while hunting turkeys.
It does call in Coyotes as well so be mindfull of that.

This is my opinion only....  Guy's have been shooting turkeys without the sqeeling hen for a long time.

It is just a gimmick!!!

Stick with what works,,,,Yelps and purrs.....

Their is a mod on here that is a turkey KILLER, that I would love to hear his opinion.
What would you attempt to do, if you knew you could not fail?

Don't know about the squeeling hen but I heard the talk dirty to me hen was working well this year. lol

Have to agree with everyone sounds like a gimmick, on one basis, have you ever heard of a bird making that sound. If yes use it, if not think about it.

I thought I was talking to a hen across the hollow on one trip this year, that is until the guy started using a squealing hen call. He sounded just like a hawk to me and I couldn't imagine a gobbler coming to his calling.

The Coyotes love it in the winter. We shot several last year when the snow was on. Seems they've heard one in distress before.

Horner that would be Curt(Guru) and no he does not use it unless he has added it recently. I doubt it, he does fine without it! Shawn

"If it works" in my opinion it wont. that noise can be made with your diaphram calls. But i have never herd that noise out of a turkey.

Swamp Buck is right, you can produce the same sound on a mouth call. A friend of mine had 2 Jakes come running across a field about 150 yards to the gadget though. Just like the ad on TV showed. He also tried it on a couple of mature birds and they went the other way. I will stick to the clucks, purrs and yelps. I personally think it;s just another unneeded gadget to make somebody some money. If it was a sound a hen being bred made very often, I think more people would have heard it and it would have been on the market years ago. Just my opinon.  P.S. Everybody does know how dumb Jakes can be sometimes.

I think I need to be around some more hens because I have never heard them make such noise.
