Not one pimp out things but i will this......

Waldrop Pac Seat

over the years i have got countless emails and PMs about what seat i use for Blindless hunting. I have said countless times i copied a seat my friend David Waldrop made and used at the Paradise Club when we all hunted down there. Well David is making his after years of tweaking so i bought one this year and immediately threw my away.. This seat has it all in this order..1. Right height for limb tip to clear the ground..2. Leans against a tree perfectly.  3. Very light .....4. Comfortable..does not need a cushion...5. adjustable...6. Self standing also if needed
If your a ground hunter...this is the seat IMO.  i carrry my decoy stake, bow stand and video pole too.

will tote a bird nicely too

The KUIU stuff looks like the old Fratzke Winona pattern! So joebuck, why the change to a trapezoid? Did you use the wooden hen calls on those birds? Looks like a great camp to share.

Joey,

When I tried a "tree seat" for blindless hunting I missed a bird low THREE TIMES.  I called him back in after each miss.  It finally dawned on me that since my back was to a tree, I was short drawing even though I was getting to anchor.  I went to a swivel stool after that and sit in front of big trees, but my shoulders are perp to the tree.  How do you do this with that seat?  It looks like I'd have the same problem I had with the tree seat.

Julian , 2 ways I can address this to keep from short drawing
1. First way is simply lean up in chair. That's what's neat about a 2 legged chair. Your feet are you front legs and chair legs are back feet. The seat height is so that you can lean forward to get back off tree

.2  I turn my body/ feet to the right and set up my decoy for a left side shot .then I lean up a tad..

joebuck, have you tried the hunterseat? It is really simple and light. Of course, you wouldn't be able to pack your decoys with it.

I don't know, Joey... trapezoid?

The farm boy engineer in me (think duct tape, baling wire) has to believe that a Rhombus would be a better shape choice.  Hope you get something you like cobbled up.

Sounds like a great time with a top-notch crew.

And Marty, I think you are stylin' in the BQ4 tee!  Two birds with one arrow, eh?  The transformation of Loser to Legend nears completion...

Thanks for a fun report, and congrats on the birds taken.

Here's a couple Jakes that checked out my calls the first morning!

Like Joey-I didn't always use a blind!

I have been known to be a joker-I assure you guys-that was a joke! BUT that is a nice gobbler out the kitchen window!!!
