Yeah Ole' Batman and I sat in a blind and he was the cameraman. Never been with a Super Hero character before. Never knew Batman chewed-musta made him spit off the set or in one corner of the Bat Cave, anyway we had a big time. We had a parade of turkeys all afternoon going up and down this bottom. It was close to the cow feed so the birds weren't going far. They'd strutt around, then chase each other around like a bunch of school kids in a playground. Batman had this decoy on a track that if one looked our way-he would press a button and it would do laps in a circle like a track team. I got dizzy watchin it. When they were at the far end of this setup-I made him crawl out there and hide it behind the blind. We left just one hen out there. Oh yeah, I might as well fess up-before I got my birds there were a couple misses. These big toms were at about 27 yds and I asked ole snuff lip how far- He had soooo much snuff in his lip I thought he said 37 yds. Next time he comes along -I will bring an interperter. It was a combination of North Carolinaeese and too much chew and excitement -I really didn't catch much he said all week.
Any way I shot high. Once- then twice. Hey-we all need a little practice- I just told him I was giving them warning shots. Probably was the pressure of him on the camera!
Eventually (since we got rid of his decoy train set) a couple jakes got interested in my expert calling (taught by Joey) these Jakes ease their way to us and I was concentrating so hard on a spot this time, that I put one right in the lead jakes chest and passed through and killed the one behind it! Well not at first-it ran up the hill with my arrow while his buddy folded up right there. I say I got both with one arrow, but Biggie says different. We saw him drop into a little gully and Biggie and I were ready to finish him off, when he took off flying across this cow pen and slammed into the barb wire fence. Oh man he looked like a flying circus performer that slammed into a wall. Really didn't make me happy at all. We rushed over there and I had to finish it off-hence Biggie's technically correct.I used another arrow-man they are tough. Luckily you can take 2 turkeys in Nebraska.
Like Joey said, it was a great hunt, with great friends, even if Batman needs a session with Dr. Phil after spending all that time with us.

Well heck Joey, anyone can see from the photo above you are hunting fenced-in turkeys.  What is that on the front of your bow...a satellite dish?

Sounds like a comedy of errors....or was it a comedy of arrows? Joey either needs a haircut or a different wig. The group photo was very revealing. Joey looks like Larry the Cable Guy years ago when he worked in a donut shop. Nice pajamas Joebuck. Is it my imagination or are the feet still attached on those PJs? Hagdancer needs eye makeup. What's with the white circles always present around his eyes? Maybe he should not wear his sunglasses while sunning himself daily. Schuster no longer looks the part of an eligible bachelor Meg Ryan might be interested in but more like an old man who just got all his front teeth pulled. Waiting for dentures? Bottom line is everyone had a good time, feathers flew in more ways than one and you now have the makings of turkey jerky and butterball stew. Good job guys! This is what tradgang is all about!

I love the way that KUIU camo doesn't "blob" like so many other patterns!  Gotta get me some of that!

Turkeys or no turkeys, this sure sounds like it was a camp for the ages.  Good times had by all!  Sounds like a long ways to good for a silly bird, but well worth the trip anyway.

Have to agree with Gene though - Shoe might have played that bachelor hand one too many times.  Better call their bluff before they figure it out...
