....Barack's  birth certificate???? I thought he hired the same guy that shot all those balloons at 100 yards with no missing in "Spirit of the Bow!"    Seriously, It was a great shot, and Gene kind of surprised himself. All good stuff.

No wonder Gene wouldn't take the cactus out of Barry's butt when that hog ran him over down in Texas.

There is smething special about this site. You never know who might show up. Thanks for listening and chiming in on occasions. Not just Gene and Barry, but Ron, G. Fred, Biggie, Herdbull and others that we all have grown to admire and respect.   :notworthy:

If you "dumb" in to them, then they wont want to talk to you. Lol  :)

I agree its awesome that legends of the sports take the time to post here and share their wealth of knowledge. Thanks to the Wensels and everyone else who make this site great

I couldn't agree more Bill. I was just telling my wife last night how cool it was that Gene and Barry were legends and they come on here and talk occasionally. I just can't get enough tradgang!

Gene and Barry,

Consider the shameless plug a partial success.  Reminded me to order that new DVD I'd been forgettin.        :D

Threw in one of your "lids" as well.

I assume there is no teleprompter involved in the making of this movie.       :p

I have to tell you people something about that Robin Hood shot on film and our beloved editor David Mitten. I set up the camera behind me once in a while to help tune my form and help with my concentration. So one day by pure luck I shoot that Robin Hood. I proudly and excitedly send the tape to David Mitten. He calls me and tells me it's not really a Robin Hood because I shot three arrows, not just two. Then he offers to erase the first shot. Now, I wouldn't mind him doing that if the second shot landed a foot to the left of the first but gimme a break, it was right on the money! David The Perfectionist says, "but if you put like a hundred arrows into a really small group, you'll get a Robin Hood almost every time." I doubt it. I told him if he wanted a true Robin Hood, I was supposed to shoot someone else's arrow. I had to threaten to choke the man before he used the authentic footage. Seeing is believing! Just don't ask me to do it again!

Does Barry shoot off the shelf or a raised rest like Paul? 3 or 4 feathers or vanes? I too am a real fan of them Wensels! I have autographed pics and have asked Gene a question or two over the years......Really true down to earth icons of our sport.....Doug Knight from Mississippi....

Barry uses a modified cut down version of an elevated rest. He'll have to let you know what kind. I shoot right off the shelf. All feathers. Some arrows fletched with three, others four.

I like to shoot right off the shelf but get better arrow flight with a small rest on some of my bows. I use those little plastic/rubber stick-on rests with the single side finger. Only I cut the whole rest in half horizontally to get the arrow down closer to my hand. I shoot three five inch feathers. BW
