Cody,

Sometime I would love to get together and shoot that TC. It's. A good looking bow, but what I really want to do is compare the way it shoots to a Shrew Classic Hunter. I would also like to know what you think about how they compare since you have both.

I hope you are doing well.

I love the darker colored bows, and Big Jim's Thunderchild bows are exceptional to say the least. I would love to see some closer pics if you would please.

Maybe someday I'll get to put my order in?
At the rate I'm building my own bows though, I'll have built my own by the time the money is available to order one. LOL

Sweet looking bow man!!

Few more pics and the specs are 56" 51@27" and it smokes a arrow and is dead quiet. I believe this is the quietest short bow I have ever owned and there is several guys here on the forum I have shoot with and they know I have lots of bows  :D

I love the character in those veneers. What a bow! You're right-on about how quiet the TC is. The only bow I've shot that comes close is a straight-limb D-Bow. They point like they have a mind of their own too. I'll have my 2pc TC later this year. Congrats on a fine bow!

Wow Cody, it is so sweet.  What Alan said, how does it compare with the Classic Hunter in your opinion?

Could not restrain myself- just had to take a 2nd, 3rd and 4th gander at her.

How is that every one of Big Elf's bows seem to qualify as extraordinary?

It only takes 3 ganders to qualify as extraordinary.

Buck you know I am a Shrew guy having owned several of them both the Classic and Super Shrew. Big Jims TC design looks alot the same at a glance but its alittle different when you have them in your hands.I really like both bows they are both forward handle short long bows my favorite design to hunt with and I really think if you like one of them your will also like the other.I took the TC for a short hog hunt this evening never saw a hog but did some stump shooting along the way and I can tell you forget the fancy looks this is a really nice shooting bow I must say I am impressed. The bow shoots hard I am getting good arrow speed, dead quiet all I hear is feathers cutting the air, no hand shock and the bow points really well. The take down system is AAA+ you can't even tell its not a one piece bow not even a tiny tiny tiny bit. Workmanship is all great from the beavertail grip to the glass. The B/W ebony wood in the bow is the finest looking wood I have owned in a bow ever. I don't know where he gets all the great woods you see in his bows every bow he makes seems to get better and better wood wise.Over the years I have always dreamed to have a bow made with B/W ebony and another bow with some snakewood.I had several bowyers try to find these woods to build me a bow no luck even tried buying the wood myself but it just never happened for whatever reason. Well thanks to Big Jim I now have my long waited B/W ebony short bow a dream that has lasted over a decade plus it shoots as good as it looks   :)   Now I ordered two bows at the same time the 56" TC a 58" Buffalo bow. I wonder if the Buffalo might just have some snake wood when it arrives I think maybe it will ending the decade long quest for good   :D   !

Very impressive sir! My Thunderchild is a 58 incher in b&w ebony as well. If it brings you the joy mine has brought to me, your'e in for a treat!

Awesome  as usual, coming from the little fella. I should be hearing from him any time on my TC, and I can't wait!
