This morning I strung up a 43# Bear recurve I have and managed to draw the bow numerous times without any problems.
Feeling confident in myself I strung my hunting bow, a 60# Blacktail recurve. Several months ago I tried to draw it and only got it 6-7 inches before the pain was too much. Taking several deep breaths I gripped the string and pulled it to full draw, charged with adrenaline I went ahead and pulled it several more times.
This might not seem like a big deal to most of you, but it's the first time I've been able to draw my bow back since last August just before I had a heart attack and quadruple bypass. So this is a huge accomplishment for me!
My collarbone is a little numb again, but I have the confidence now. I was starting to worry that this day might never come.
Today was a big day for me!
