« on: May 07, 2011, 09:39:00 AM »
Still working on my Quinn Stallion. 50@30 Goltip 7595 shoot good but kick tail right bareshaft sometimes. GT 5575 don't kick but are lighter.I shoot both shafts full length withg 145 grain tip. Suggestions?

The 75/95 sounds like they may be a touch on the stiff side. You could try adding some more weight up front, like maybe 175 gr. tips.Or you can add some screw on weights behind the insert,if you want to stay with 145 gr. tips.

If they kick tail right they're not good.  IF YOUR RIGHT HANDED and the arrows are in the target nock right, your arrows are too stiff.

The above is bare shaft TUNING and you should be bare shaft PLANNING in my opinion.  Go to the bible  www.bowmaker.net  and click tuning.

I shoot 50 at 29 and can shoot .500's, but have the best flight with .600 which SHOULD be too weak.

If you learn what deflection is (.600, .500, .400) you can use it to describe all arrows not just Goldtips.
