I have a KOM Bomber hat that I like a lot.  Doesn't have much of a brim though.

There's a lengthy "favorite hunting hat thread" here somewhere that a search should bring up.  Nearly all where brimmed in some way.  Most had brims all the around the head.

-Boonie Styles that either had short brims or that had had the brim cut down

-Stormy Kromers

-The wensel brothers make a "lid" just for bowhunting

and a top hot are the ones I remember:)

I'm fortunate to be able to where the cheap bonnie styles as long as there brims are around that 2.5" or shorter mark.

Here's a couple I really like, depending on the weather:

My Tilley Hemp has a full brim that may touch the string but doesn't interfere like the brim on a ball cap does.

I would love to wear a Fred Bear style hat when I hunt, but it seems whenever I do, the deer always notice my big head lol.

Only reason I wear a hat is to knock down the glare off of the back of my head.

I use a ballcap turned aroung now. If I'm in a hurry, I move it to the side a bit, then shoot.

Stetson Open Road. Many years in the woods. Too many repairs. Great hat.

I like the Filson Tin Cloth for the short brim so much I wear it till it looks like this. This one is like an old friend. Notice the guy with me is wearing a Tilley and has slightly longer brim.

I have a new one now and one of their wool ones in a similar profile. I love em.

I like a bucket hat, its brim is enough to keep water off my glasses, ears and neck and makes no contack with the string.

The one in the picture on the left. Crushed wool felt. Have so many hats, I lost count, but always come back to that one. Have wore that style for over 50 years, to old to change now.
