I ordered a John Mcdonald longbow. myrtle limbs with a cocobolo riser. Was wondering any suggestions what I should name it? Thanks.

I usually have to get to know the bow, learn its quirks and have a few adventures with it before it will tell me its name.   :wavey:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I'm with Killdeer, I like to get to know my bow before I name her & I've got one that is rightly named..

Killie
That has got to be one of the most coincidental things I have ever heard of. Just uncanny!

Great story thanks for sharing that:)

It has been my preferance to develop a name for a bow after the birth certicate and we have had many opportunities to feel each other out. But namimg a bow after before birth is not always the case.

One of mine is named "Habunero" and my extreme confidence in Big Jim has me naming my expectant bow "Dream TC".
