Chad and I spoke on the phone about the bow. What a great conversation - I was impressed with the man!
Now to the bow: It is as good in person as the pics- fit and finish is top-notch. I couldn't get over how smooth the draw was - out to my 29" with no problem. I was surprised by how LITTLE handshock there is in this little bow- And it is VERY light-weight. It shoots great with the FF string Chad supplied, but I didn't care at all for the dacron string that has been added.
I'd give this bow a hearty endorsement, but with one additional comment. I normally shoot 64-66" and at 58" it was short for my tastes. I'd say up to 28" draw it would be fine, but even then I'd suggest going to 60". For myself, I'd go to 62" or even 64" if Chad offers that length. At the short length, light weight and my longer draw, it takes a good deal of concentration to maintain the form to shoot it well. By that I mean it responds to slight changes in grip placement and pressure. As I talked to Chad about that, he agreed I'd do better with a bit longer length.
As I said, I'm impressed with the man, his willingness to discuss his work and the design/workmanship of the bow.
Good job Chad and thanks for opportunity to test the bow!
