No more long aluminum adapter??
« on: May 14, 2011, 12:33:00 AM »
We have looked everywhere for long 42 gr aluminum adapters.  The dealers that we talk to say that only one company makes the adapters and they are back ordered.  How can this be??  Any idea where we can get  just one dozen?  We have looked for months, our bear hunt is in two weeks and we wanted to make up some backup arrows.  Thank you for any help.

Did you try Braveheart in the Sponsor's list? They don't show them as being on back order.

Braveheart Archery has them and they're not sold out. Since Tim is a sponsor on TG, below is the direct link to them. Once on the page, just scroll on down till you see them.

Let me know if you can't find them. I'm pretty sure I have some. I'd have to check the weight again but I'm pretty sure that's what they are. You can have them for the price of shipping.

Braveheart is out of the adapter also.  I have one more local place to look before I bother anyone here with the borden of mailing just 12 adapters.

Last I knew both Zwickey and PDP made long aluminum adapters.  Unfortunately I've seen weights all over the map.  Every run seems consistent within the run, but what you get this year might be 10 grains different from last year.

I have long aluminum adapters from PDP but I would have to got through and weigh a few dozen to see what they weigh.  I've been caught off guard with a weight change more than once.

Abowyer lists both a long aluminum and a long titanium. Did you call them?

Capt Eddie, we have plenty of the Magnus 42 gr long adapters, we are out of the "standard" adapters however.

The Magnus are 7075 aluminum and much stronger than the standards.
