AZ Mogollon Rim Early Scouting Trip
« on: May 14, 2011, 06:00:00 PM »
Well I didn't draw an Elk tag here in AZ this year so I am setting my sites on Archery Deer and Turkey this Fall. The wife and I went up to the Mogollon rim over Mothers day weekend for a combination camping / scouting trip. I thought I'd share a video clip I put together of our outing. Hope you enjoy...... Interesting blind. My folks settled that country . They were there in the sheep and cattle war. Young Arizona. I still have a bunch of folks living there. It is really neat country and the first place I ever saw wild turkeys.
God bless you, Steve

Terry;
         Is that by Sedona, sure looks familiar. I was in Arizona last October and took a tour of the Mogollon Rim. loved Arizona...hated the taxes! Good luck this Fall.

Sergio..... That area is not too far from Sedona at all..

Thanks Charlie tell Theo Hi for me...... Things must be pretty slow in your neck of the woods if you're sitting around talking about Mike and I..  :D    Terry

Nice video. We spend some of our winters in Queen Valley; Arizona is a beautiful state.

I like your clip, really like your shooting video too. And I thought my targets were shot out!  :eek:  Getting green up here.  There is a fun shoot up here next week-end. Wilard Springs if you want another camping week-end.

Cool video. I used to live in Flagstaff and miss it greatly. It's funny how while watching your video I could smell the Ponderosa pine as the sun was warming them in the cool of the morning. Thanks for sharing.

Centaur.... I know the queens Valley area pretty well. I used to hunt deer behind there quite a bit years ago

High Country... The Bear... Javie and Coyote targets have all been repatched and are on their second life in that video

Jeanpaul.... You will like AZ.. Lots to do and no two parts of the state are alike.....

Can anyone tell me what kind of bird that one with the yellow body and red head is? I got one on film up there last year as well......Terry
