You know it is steep, when your vertical and on your hands and knees. It is beautiful country, for sure.

i would go at the same time, 2nd week of may for 2 weeks. they rut in june but you can expect very unpredictable weather then, sometimes dangerous.

anyone feel free to pm me about hunting in NZ it really isn't hard to organise a self guided hunt there.
