My draw is 31" with a recurve and almost 30 1/2" with a straight handled longbow. I prefer 66" recurves and 68-70" longbows. I've only owned 1 hybrid and it was 64" and felt too short to me.

I like 62" recurves for my 29" draw, and on my Hill style longbows I draw 28" and though I have a couple of 66"ers, I will not purchase any more that are not at least 68" long.

I draw 29" and have a 64" Blacktail TD, a 60" Dale Dye TD, and a 60" McCullough 59'er. I shoot all comfortably, all are about 55"@28".

First it depends a lot on the bows design! That said here are 3 of mine. 54" RER Arroyo, 58" RER XR and a 58" Belcher all drawn to 28.5"s. Shawn

30 1/2" draw with a 62" Toelke whip. It works well for me.

thank you all for your post, this helps me kinda get a fix on draw length vs. bow length. Kinda interesting but a lot of people seem to go as long as they can unless they mentioned from shooting from a seated position then it is short.
longer the bow smoother the draw and the shorter bow stacks faster and string pinch.

I draw around 27" - 27 1/2" and much prefer a 'longer' bow .
My Belcher Union Jacks and Hills 66" and 68's
My R/D Widow Longbows 64"
My recurves ... 62"

1) Right now I've only got one bow. It's a 52" Toelke recurve. I draw 29".
2) My previous bow was a Toelke Whip. It was 60". It was long enough, but too heavy for me.
3) My brother has a 64" Whip. I love shooting that thing. My next longbow will be 62-64"

All 64" bows in my arsenal, and currently my draw length is a staggering 6". I get the results of my MRI on Tuesday, and hopefully I can get back to my normal 27 1/2" draw.
