When Roy first came to light with posts on Tradgang there was something differant, humble, eager and probably the most helping person any of us have ever met.A true inspiration, not just to Tradgang but to Mankind.
Tony refreshed me on a statement I had made about Roy and asked for my involvement in this gesture we made.Times are tough for everyone at present, but I always stated my last dollar would be devoted to my My life and passion Traditional Archery.Roy,LOL this isn't my last dollar, but you my friend for who you are as a person deserve this and so much more,I am so proud to have helped you in some way.Good on ya!LOL

Okay - this is the thread that did it for me.

I've been hangin' around Trad Gang for a couple of weeks now and wonderin' if this was a place that I really wanted to invest in ("invest" meaning time, effort, and money).  I have been into archery and bow hunting for many, many years, but concentrated on those wheel and string contraptions with sights and scopes and all sorts of unholy stuff.  I was looking for a place to help me migrate back into the traditional and instinctive side of archery.

The information available here is wonderful, but there are many places that provide that.  What kept me coming back were the open and friendly discussions - more family like than an on-line forum.  There weren't many trolls lurking about.  There is a very active Prayers/Concerns/Honors forum where folks ask for help with real life issues, and people opening express their faith in many posts.....and other are free not to.  But this thread was it - it showed another unprovoked act of kindness - a degree of fellowship that separates Trad Gang from other forums.

Sorry to say folks - I think I want to hang around here.  I've always enjoyed the Groucho Marx quote: "I don't care to belong to a club that accepts people like me as members" - but I think I'll try to stay for a while if you all will have me.

Thanks for a great place to stay and learn - God bless you all!

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I think you'll be more than welcomed here Slowarrow.

I hope you feel right at home and jump in with both feet.

The more you give of yourself, the more you get in return.

I also hope you will start a thread introducing yourself as it'll not be seen by all in the middle of another thread.

Enjoy your journey along with the rest of us.

God bless,Mudd

PS: I was blessed enough to sell a bow today and the money should be in my account in a few days.
As soon as it is, I know another deserving member of TG that much like me lives on a shoe string budget so I have written to him offering to pay half of a TGMM membership in his name.
Just paying it forward if I can.

Congradulations Mudd.  Well deserved.  If was in a position to do so, this would be my bid for myself for the kids.  You deserve it and again congradulations.
