best 25.oo you can spend around here.
"nervousness is sitting in your stand in the swamp,
its only 5:30 and you start hearing your thermocell sputter"
THe skeeters here are so bad at times that without a TC that you cant hear a deer walk up behind you.
And they have almost no less odor compared to Deet.

Best thing since sliced bread as far as we're concerned...JC doesn't hunt without his. When flying to a hunt he always makes sure he knows where the nearest Wal-Mart is so he can pick up the TC canisters on the way to the hunt location. He would probably sacrifice any of his hunting gear to save his thermocell....well, not his bow...  :D

I agree.
I bought one at Wally World and tried it out in the front swing.  Set with my wife -who mosquitos love- we were not bothered.

I quit buying Deet altogether. Mounted the thermacell right on my quiver.
Be advised: they only work on mosquitos. gnats and blackflies ignore them.
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

I tested one last bow season. Went in without any bug spray and was getting eat up... stopped and turned on the thermacell and within 5 minutes the bugs left me alone. It takes a little time to work and does better in a no or low wind scenario... But it worked for me.

I used one last fall and it did OK.  I don't know what your bugs are like, but I would say that it got rid of about half the mosquitos which brought the total to about 250,000 flying around me.  I don't leave home without the MUSKOL "red can" .  Mark

With bug spray, the skeeters my not be biting, but they are still buzzing all around your face...with the T-cell they are GONE.  Condersidering all the junk that is for sale, this is one item that actually works AND is worth the price.

I LOVE mine...I wont hunt without one.  It doesn't bother the deer at all either.  I watched a nice lil 4pt feed under my stand for 30 mimnutes last year and never knew I was up there.

Good Stuff, they create a NO-FLY zone for the little winged devils.

The South Texas gnats I encountered must have had (NBC) Nuclear-Biological-Chemical mask because it did'nt work on them.
