Music to my ears
« on: May 27, 2011, 11:54:00 PM »
Been havin a hard time this year with my 3 sons growin up and startin to leave the nest. My oldest, 21 yrs old, attends college 6hrs away and we havent got to spend a lot of time together the last 9 months. He finally came home last week and after we got caught up on everything after about an hour of talking he says "Well......, lets go shoot". I bet you can guess what we did for the next few hours.

Cool!  It is always great to share a day shooting with your son.  My oldest is 30 years old and on his own, but we got to spend the day today to just hang and do some shooting.  It is the time I enjoy the most!

I can relate. I have 3 daughters and they love to go "arrowing" with daddy as they tell their mother. The oldest is only 5 and has her own fiberglass recurve.

That's some cherished memory making there. I love it when my girlfriends kids ask if we can shoot!

I know the feeling, both of mine are grown and gone. Glad you got to do some shooting with him.

Nothing like going to pick up my daughter for the weekend and she's waiting in the driveway with her bow and quiver in hand.  Glad you enjoyed the time with your son.....something special about them dang kids.
