Big Jim's Ugly Bows??
« on: May 28, 2011, 02:03:00 PM »
Do they exist? From what I can tell from my brand new Thunderchild, I don't think so. The big guy has produced yet another masterpiece, but what is even better is that it shoots every bit as good as it looks. I couldn't wait to get it strung up, and this is the result of my first three arrows, from about 15 yards.

This beauty is desert ironwood, and it is a stunner. 56", 55# @ 28", and is about as quiet as a bow can get.

"Iron Triangle" seemed appropriate, since I did a bit of hunting in a place with a similar name a 'few' years back.

Once again, Big Jim proves that he is a true artist, but also makes a product that works to perfection.

Never seen limb veneers like that, beautiful.  I can only imagine how nice the finish is on that bow.

Pat you are a lucky man with such beauty in your hands, and she also shoots great. Can not wait until minr is ready, about 3 months. But I have a very nice Big Jim Buffalo already.

Have yet to see an ugly bow from Large James.
That one is no exception.

He is a true artist! Congrats! what are those veneers made from?
TGMM-Family of the Bow

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs
