creating a custom "stippled" grip?

anybody have any customized (homeade) stippled or checkered grips on their bows? if so how would you do it and what would you put over it to finish or "seal" it..pics would be ok too. thanks in advance graybark

Did one on a self bow, will have to look to see if I have pictures. Made the tools to do it out of a couple of nails, different sizes.

I did a stippled grip on a bow,I used a dremel tool with a small ball diamond bit to make the stipples.I just taped an outline pattern and stayed within the pattern.Don't have pic's.

I did it on a recurve I built. But I practiced on some scrap wood before jumping into it! Used a Foredom flex shaft with a round bit, random design.

Here's a grip I did. The bow would turn on me when I got near full draw. After stipling she stays where I grab it. Doesn't really show up all that well on the camo, but that ain't all bad. I like it, it works for me.
