Wow, what a beautiful bow! And thanks for sharing the background. Those limbs are spectacular.

And it's a Zipper. Should be a great shooter.

Very touching story, this bow will be very special for you, because the bonds with your father and your childhood and because Bill makes some heck of bows. The osage is an overviewed wood but it adds character in the time.
You'll be very pleased by the Zipper's performance.

These types of builds are by far my favorite. They almost ALWAYS mean extra work  :D  but the reason for that is this bow is much more than just wood and some man made materials. As Jarrett has already explained.

What an awesome bow! Beautiful woods, and that Snake Skin is just too cool. Thanks so much for the story.

Jarrett,

That is a great looking bow especially when I hear the story.  What is the yellow?  Is that still Tulipwood?

Bill has been asked to make some unique bows and he has a way of making them all look great.

Neat story.  Now lets see you shoot a deer this fall and have some hero pics with that bow.

Thanks Chris.  Andrew's bow actaully gave me a lot of inspiration.  The yellow is the osage, the red is the tulipwood.

I saw your bow all glued up when I was down at Bill's the last time.  Should be very cool.  I look forward to seeing pics of it.

Hoping for the hero pic to come early sept on a cow elk hunt in MT!

thank you for sharing your really special story. I mean that. My dad taught my how to hunt, fish and shoot, so I know where you're coming from. I have a little boy myself and every time I handle an important piece of outdoor gear I think of him.

Your story really touched me, thank you.

Oh and by the way, your bow ROCKS.

My unbelievably lazy mail lady left a delivery notice in my mailbox instead of pulling into the drive to deliver my bow!  She does this all the time...sheer laziness.  Fills em out before she runs her route so she doesn't have to stop.  I had to be away at a b-day party and couldn't be here to stop her and she's lucky I wasn't.       I was hopeful it would be on a seperate delivery truck but no such luck.

Luckily I was able to find someone working the warehouse at the post office after hours that fished out the box for me so I didn't have to wait until next Wednesday to get my bow...I have to leave on a business trip to MN tomorrow afternoon.     :notworthy:

Now it's time to put a cow elk on the ground in MT come Sept!
