First longbow buck
« on: June 04, 2011, 01:05:00 AM »
This was my last hunt of the season. Me and a buddy went out the day after we got about a foot of fresh snow. I decided to get down around ten because the deer weren't moving at all I hadn't seen a thing and it was about ten. I got down and started over to where they like to bed, I had walked for about 20 minutes when I stopped because something behing a big oak about 12 yds in front of me caught me attention. I look up and this button buck is starting to get up from his bed when he did I drew and shot, but what worried me is I didn't see where the arrow hit him but I knew it was a pass through because the arrow was right there. I walked to my arrow and looked down the blodtrail and he was standing there 20 yds away so I put one more in him and he went about 25 yds from there.

*******pix too big, please re-size*******
