Writing on arrows...under poly
« on: June 05, 2011, 05:17:00 PM »
Wondering what people use for writing on the cap dip under the last couple of coats of clear.  I have wood shafts, two coats of wipe-on oil based poly, sprayed white Krylon white cap, cresting is done.  Before I put on the last two or three coats of clear wipe-on poly I want to number my arrows.

I know I could use a Sharpie but is there something better?  Will the Sharpie run when I go over it with wipe-on oil based poly?

I like a good old fountain pen and India ink.
Gila hickory selfbow 54#
 Solstice reflex/deflex 45#
