No doubt about it, gotta agree with Michael on the Freakin Cool!!

I'm sure not giving up on eating pound cake yet Michael even if I have to beg your generosity again   :bigsmyl:  Either way it's some freakin good pound cake!

Doug, this knife was on that hunt as well.

Cool?  I can't count the ways......

It blows me away to think of the impact this annual squabble fest can have on the lives of others. We do it all in fun, but look at those results!  A new young hunter in the fold.  A deeper bond between a father and daughter.  Friendships made that weren't therefore before.  This is special stuff!

And that is just the start of it. Just think of the impact on the lives of the kids and families at St. Jude.  Freaking cool is right!

The pound cake has never really mattered.  But even so, we're going to take it anyway!      :goldtooth:

Thanks for the story Julian!

Julian, you let out me and Little D's secret. I'm honored to have had a small part in it. That picture and smile says alot. We will get Little D on one of these big Ohio whitetails one day.

"Freaking Cool" sounds like the new poundcake thread saying.

Michael said it best, give what you can. Nobody expects anybody to go beyond their means. A little helps just as much as alot.

But we will prevail!!!!!!!! Little D, I'll shoot you my address so you can get my slice,or two,or three, all labeled up and ready to ship.

BTW- My daughter shot a 4-pointer this year too. Hmmmmmm.......girl power maybe.

Julian,
When you sent me that picture of Lil D with her first deer and that Tippit knife, I felt like a proud Grandpa!  I'm proud of everyone on this forum too.

This is bringing tears to my eyes knowing that Michael will be left out in the cold with no cake.  I know MK,LLC holds no ill will.  So in my capacity as of VP of Consumption, I'll will personally sent out some soda crackers...tippit

Probably will never meet any of the main players in this love match, but I'm filled daily with such great emotions during the annual St. Jude love fest!

Sometimes I am amazed at the funds that flow and know I can't "hang" but we all give what we can.

To see a young lady do what Li'l D has done, and how her Dad's story has stirred such deep emotions within us all, this is the only "Fraternity" of which I'm ever so proud to be associated, even if only as a "kibitzer" and cheerleader in most cases.

Thanks to Julian and the wonderful way in which that family instill values and caring for others.

Thanks to the wild bunch that annually creates such humor and crazy antics as they create such wonderous commitments to such a worthy goal.

I stand in awe of ya'll!  :)

Now that hurts me bud. Forest is a little upset as well. PB&J could be on the menu this fall.

Some old Lowcountry woman workin roots on the big moose-killer?

Mike - ya have to elaborate on that one for me.  The "pictures" that are stuck in my mind's eye won't go away!!!!!!
