Hayslope,

You are right on.  Chessies don't share so good.  But, as you know, they can sure be your best friend.

Joe that is a great offer you have made. I think that may even make sunny jump ship and come on over to our side.

Welcome Sophie!!!!!!!!!!!!

That picture ought to be sent to St. Judes hospital for all the kids and parents to see. It's a classic!

The offer is open to Sunny as well!  Would love to have him up to beautiful WI this fall.  He can have his cake and eat it too!

We need to keep this one going boys and girls.  Long ways to go yet, but we can do it!

Only three days left, and it seems we've lost some momentum here.  Can we recover it??  Last year we ended with a flourish, so history says we sure can.

Here is what is needed.  Make your bid in the name of MK, LLC.  If we end up on top at the end, you owe what you bid, and we will all get Little D's scrumptious pound cake.  If we get outbid, you don't owe a thing.  So there is no risk in bidding!

Of course, if you choose to let your bid ride and send a cash donation to St. Jude even if we don't win the cake, that is completely up to you.  Many have in the past, but it is certainly not expected, just as in any other item you bid on here.

It's time to make the last big push!  At a minimum, we need to get the MK total up over the $3,000 mark. We'll see where it goes from there. Can we do it??  It's up to you!

Whip, I am in for a MK LLC share - one Benjamin.

Hayslope has sewn-up the "best pic" of the auction award for sure  :help:

Jay,

While I'd love to take credit for Sophie's gorgeous face and eyes in that photo,  if you go up the page a bit more, you'll see that Sophie lives at Brian's (Bel007) home.  I just happened to quote Brian's post in my post because I have a very big soft spot in my heart for Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. Anyone who has ever owned a Chessie knows what I speak of.......then again, depending on YOUR experiences with them as a Vet,  you may see them through a different set of eyes!

I do agree with you though.......Sophie's photo certainly ranks at the top of the auction photos.  If by category, Sophie definitely ranks at the top for dogs..........although she has some stiff competition in the "cuteness" category with Skyler's little sister Chloe Beth!  I can't believe someone hasn't bid 4 figures on those orange slice cookies yet!  That lil' redhead will melt your heart!!!!

Whip,

Were there a way to join in, I would, but all I can do is cheerlead. Who was it said of riverboat rides were a quarter, he'd have to run down the bank yellin, "What a deal!" ?  Pretty much sums up my position.

Gotta say thou, seeing that gorgeous country and "cabin", you could likely raise more'n a grand just offerin that as a hunt some year!

Wow... if only, if only...

Enjoy your weekend! Thanks for your and all the rests great entertainment thru this auction!

Welcome to the game Doc. I was enjoying year cheerleading though. I hope you had your skirt on when you did it-or not!

You're the man Rob!!  :notworthy:    :notworthy:

I noticed when I did the list this morning that there were a couple of people who couldn't swing a full share but wanted to help anyway by throwing $25 in the pot.  And it is surely appreciated!  Stiks picked up the difference for MTArrowlauncher.  I'll pick up the difference for owlbait. So add $75 to my total.

Can't have any of the team without their very own slice of pound cake!

 MK Total = $2,500

Whip, don't forget my $25 goes to the winning bidders! That's the way the SEALS would do it!

Somhow I missed this one, put me in with the "little guy's" for $100
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Things are looking better since I posted last night! Rob and Whip - you two are the best. Very cool to see Doc and the rest at full shares.
Hayslope & Brian - I love all breeds that end with "retriever". I have known a lot of special Chessies in my 15 years of practice but don't think I have met one as clever (and charitable) as Sophie  :)
I am wrestling with some other characteoz for one of the Tippit Knives on #4. If I lose out,
there will be some St. Jude money freed up for poundcake...or maybe Chloe Beth's cookies ( I heard the past batch is always best)!
