Matt this was one of my last High Sierras I sold it hear on Tradgang. I have owned four of Ron’s High Sierras and two of his one piece recurves called the Maverick. I still have one of Ron’s bows it’s the Royal Crown longbow and that’s the bow that made me switch to longbows after shooting a recurve for the past 39yrs.

I bought a new High Sierra in 2001. I don't have pictures and I traded it to a Trad Ganger (LH)in early December. One of my first bow deals on Trad Gang.

It was a great bow and one of the nicest grips of any bow I've ever owned.  The only thing I didn't like about it was the way the brass inserts are visible at the face of the riser ends.

I have two and think they are extremely well-crafted recurves.  I agree with Bowwild, the grips ate A++.  They shoot fantastic and are very quick.

I took a couple of pics tonight & will try to post tomorrow.  BTW, the brass inserts don't bother me & remind me of my previous Bracks.

Nice looking and very "friendly" looking grips on those High Sierra's, besides the overall look of the bow appeals to me. I made a trade a few weeks ago for a one-piece Royal Crown and am very impressed with the way it performs for me.

I WILL own one of those High Sierra's in the future.....you can take that to the bank.
