You take us to places and experiences we dream to go and for every reason known we'll never find. Thanks

Thanks for bringing this one up Terry. I went to page one and reread the story and for a while went back to that morning.

Once again I could see and smell the frost covered fall leaves and hear the droning flight of my arrow. For an instant I even felt my heart coming up in my throat when the buck shied from slam dunk range.

Yep!! Made my day.

I wondered about that picture.  The writing of the story is phenomenal.  Makes me look forward to the fall.

Thank you.

Thank you, Terry.
It made me reread the story, and take down one of my treasures, and I mean a real treasure!

One day I arrived home from work to find a very battered package by the front door. If I had delivered it, I would have thanked my lucky stars that the recipient was not at home, it was as mangled as that! I saw who sent it, and my heart was in my throat as I plotted revenge upon the parcel-manglers.

Miraculously, the contents were not harmed in the least.   :campfire:      :archer2:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Another great campfire!

Belated congrats Charlie Lamb.

I have seen and studied that picture of you, Yellowgirl, and the buck, many times here on Tradgang. The drama that led to it is fitting, as it is a true, classic bowhunters` dream photo.

Now I know "the rest of the story".  :thumbsup:    :notworthy:

Good stuff, Charlie...  :)

Killy,

I missed "The LOOK" this year at "b'mo"...I can count on some comment made to you rendering at least ONE in my direction each year!
