White Glass Bows
« on: June 09, 2011, 12:37:00 PM »
Was wondering if any of you fellas could post some pictures of your bows with white glass limbs. Think I saw a pic of a Bear polar (I think that's what it was) with white limbs that looked pretty hot. Been thinking that the brown and white glass has a classic look to it...

Thanks all!

Hi Kiefer!  We've got two white bows, a 27 lb Browning Prep recurve and a 32 lb Border Bows "McTavish" from the mid '60's.  Both great target bows.  I'll see if I can dig up a pic of the McTavish from another old thread on here--it has a really unique look.
Cheers,
Brett

I have a '62 Polar that was just in the classifieds with white limbs along with a '59 KS with gray limbs. Sold the KS but the Polar is still on my rack.
Also have a '62 Grizzly with white limbs and they definitely are classy looking-although a little bright for hunting in my opinion but with some "retro" limb covers these bows are quite servicable.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Like the big bad one above I'm kind of partial to Ol' Jack's black on the back and white on the belly myself.  Here's my 59 lb Gamemaster Jet.

Wow guys, thanks for all the pics! They all look great. The whole black on the back and white on the belly is cool to with that HH and the Game Master.

You beat me to it, Rob. I really like the dark back/light belly idea. And that one is as you said.

This is a 63 Kodiak special I cleaned up, unfortunately it Blew up before we could really get to know each other.  It had a glue line failure between the cheery end cap and the other riser wood.

I've recently become addicted to the Howard Jet. They are like no other bow I've shot.
However, I love the Gamemaster Classic too.
