« on: June 12, 2011, 08:19:00 PM »
hey guys. Just got back from cloverdale and what a great time(my first time). Got to shoot my first striker bow and just loved it but it was the first 3 piece longbow ive shoot. Just like to hear what other 3 pieces i should try out before making my decision. any advice would be welcome. Thanks Jim

I own a couple great plains 3 pc take downs and they are great shooting solid bows and have been around for years.  Just shot a Sky 3 pc longbow not too long ago and that is also a fine shooting longbow with alot of adjustment.   It will be one of my next bows.  Dino

Jim, I checked out the new Robertson 3 pc. at Cloverdale. It was one of the "eco" models....no frills but it was a great looking little bow! The grip is what impressed me the most-just melted into my hand. Right at $600 and it is made by one (two) of the premier bowyers in the world! Good luck on your "bow" hunt! Mike

I'm with Shedrock on this one, Pronghorn. Awesome bows.

I had an RER LX.  It was a fantastic shooting and handling bow.  Very well made.  Everything was top notch.  LoweBow has it now, sniff lol.  I highly suggest you check out the RER.

I would check out the Dan Toelke's 3 piece from Montana Longbows.  There was a very recent post on them in Pow Wow.  Fast, quiet, and awesome looking bows.

I'll second the Sarrels Blueridge. It is my go-to bow. As a matter of fact, it is going to Africa with me in 13 days.
