Recurve - static vs. dynamic - pls explain

Am wondiering if someone can offer me the easy explanation of static vs. dynamic limbs on a recurve? Clarify the concept and offer opinions on shooting - Performance (speed) and smoothness in the draw.

Static loads are loads at rest, such as a strung bow.
Dnamic loads are live loads, such as the drawn bow transferring energy to the arrow at the moment of release.

"Static Recurves" is usually refering to an older style of recurve where the end of the limbs were fixed and non-working; static. There may be a couple of bowyers still building them, but for the most part all contemporary recurves (built since the early 60's) all have full working recurve limbs. I don't know of any advantage that a static recurve might have over a more efficient working recurve.
